The Shimano CenterLock RT-CL900 Disc Rotor is the absolute flagship model, engineered to meet the highest demands of roadbike, gravel bike, and cyclocross use. Originating from the Dura-Ace R9200 series, this rotor focuses on two critical aspects: minimizing noise and ensuring consistent braking power under extreme conditions. Thanks to an optimized design of the aluminum carrier arm, the rotor is more robust and less susceptible to heat-induced deformation. The core of its superior performance lies in the proven IceTechFreeza technology. The RT-CL900 uses a three-layer sandwich construction (stainless steel – aluminum – stainless steel) combined with specially coated aluminum cooling fins. This drastic heat management prevents brake fading during long, steep descents and extends the life of the brake pads.
